Horror Case Files: The Faculty (1998)

Delilah body snatchedThe Faculty

The Faculty was a 1998 science fiction / horror movie with a lot of stars. Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings), Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down), Jordana Brewster (Fast & the Furious), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), Famke Janssen (X-Men), Salma Hayek (From Dusk Till Dawn), and even Jon Stewart. It also was directed by Robert Rodriguez, the guy that just put out the Machete sequel. Too scared to watch it? The Horror Case Files reveal the background story, kill count, most creative kill, the killer(s), and what happened to the killer(s). WARNING! SPOILERS if you continue.

Story

In Ohio, an alien takes over a high school by taking control of the faculty and eventually the students.

Kill Count

2 people 1 mouse

Most Creative Kill

The principal who was body snatched got shot in the head and her body melted from Zeke’s drug.

The Killer(s)

It’s an alien that needs water to survive and our body makes good hosts. There is a queen that controls all the aliens. Once the queen is killed, everything will go back to normal.

What Happened to the Killers

Wait for it….the queen is……. Marybeth!!!! One of the students that was with the group trying to stop the queen. Casey traps the queen, who was in alien form in the gym bleachers, and stabs it in the dye with a diuretic drug. The drug gives a good buzz, but also dehydrates the body.
Marybeth the Queen

Horror Case Files Verdict

Kill count wasn’t high, but it was a fun hip version of the Body Snatchers. Plus the cast was huge, and has a pretty rocking soundtrack. Cheap DVD buy, $5 or I believe it is currently on Netflix.

Random Info I got from this File:
  • Ohio is the first place aliens will take over
  • Never give coach a pencil
  • Drugs, the #1 sure way to check if your friend is an alien
File Status: 8 out of 10
