Horror Case Files: Saw (2004)

Jigsaw survivorSaw

It is time for the main event. Saw. This movie came out of no where, and became so popular, that there are 7 of them. The Saw franchise is known for the gore and twist endings. Too scared to watch it? The Horror Case Files reveal the background story, kill count, most creative kill, the killer(s), and what happened to the killer(s). WARNING! SPOILERS if you continue.

Two strangers wake up in opposite sides of the room with their legs chained to pipes and there is a dead man between them. They must recall the events that lead up to their imprisonment and why someone is doing this to them.

Kill Count

5 people

Most Creative Kill

A row of shotguns hanging from above, and shooting all at once on a cop.

The Killer(s)

It’s a man who goes by “Jigsaw”. He makes people who have done wrong, play this life or death game to change their ways. Technically, he’s not killing anybody, but is a wanted criminal none the less.

What Happened to the Killers

Well, this is a great movie, so if you haven’t seen the first Saw, I say turn back. Okay, this will ruin the movie. Last chance…..well, since you are still here, I’ll just tell you. Jigsaw is actually the dead guy in room. One of the two guys saws his leg off to escape from his chains. The other guy ends up getting locked up in the room. Jigsaw leaves him there, and says “game over”.

Horror Case Files Verdict

It’s a sad thing, because everybody I run into that hasn’t seen this, is afraid of the gore. Yes, the franchise is known for it’s crazy amounts of gore. The first one is more of a thriller than horror and I highly recommend it. Original story, interesting villain, creepy situations, fast paced, keeps you guessing on what happens next, and just go see it now. Go buy it.

Random Info I got from this File:
  • Always check the toilet tank first
  • If you see the bad guy, just shoot him
  • If the lights goes out in your apartment, use the camera flash to find unwanted visitors
File Status: 10 out of 10
