Mary Shaw a ventriloquist back in day, was blamed for a missing child, after the kid tried to make fun of her on stage. The towns people killed Mary Shaw for the missing child and cut out her tongue during the process. Later in the movie, we find out that Mary Shaw is responsible for the missing child. She actually turned the kid into a life size doll. Now she hunts all the towns people and their relatives, by murdering them with their tongue cut out.

Horror Case Files Verdict

Even though it got bad reviews in general, you could do worse. It’s a nice break from slashers. Dead Silence has an old school feel to it with creepy dolls. Not a lot of deaths and they all die the same, but it does have it’s creepy moments. Worth a viewing on late night cable.

Random Info I got from this File:
  • If you see a case of Ventriloquist dolls, burn them
  • Do a background check on your step mother
  • Never make fun of a ventriloquist during their performance
File Status: 6 out of 10
